Weather forecast for Portland, Oregon Saturday, July 30

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Welcome to the weekend! Unfortunately, we have at least two more days of 90 degree temperatures and even the possibility of a triple digit Saturday afternoon.

There is something to look forward to however, we are at the end of our heat wave and it is almost over. In the meantime, Portland will start at around 70 degrees and the metro area should reach around 100 degrees in the afternoon. We have a lot of events this weekend, so be sure to take it easy.

The weather pattern has not been able to change since a ridge set in last Sunday. It will begin to move and retreat towards the Four Corners region by Monday. Those of you east of the mountains, be prepared for two to three more days of excessive heat. Speaking of excessive heat, an excessive heat warning is in place until 9 p.m. Sunday evening.

For those of you who want to cool off, you’ll need to go west instead of going up in elevation. Temperatures will still be warm in the Cascades. Temperatures will be much cooler on the Oregon Coast, with highs in the 60s and 70s on Saturday. Expect a marine layer that goes in and out. Temperatures will be warmer in the north near Astoria.

Have a good week-end!
