Weather forecast for Portland, Oregon Saturday, July 15

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — If you’re preparing to step outside for one of the few events we have this weekend, you should be prepared for some cloudiness and a drop in our temperatures. There has been a frenzy in the mid 80s for the past few days, but most of Saturday will be in the 70s. An influence of cooler air from a passing trough, leaving highs daytime below average by about 5 degrees.

Scroll through the slideshow below to see how the future broadcast unfolds. Morning clouds hold over the Willamette Valley until midday. The clouds begin to break up at this time, allowing more sunshine to filter in. Eventually, sky conditions will become mostly sunny for many locations.

The Oregon Coast will also start with clouds, clearing for the afternoon sun. If you hop on the Oregon Coast this weekend, temperatures will be in the mid-60s with periods of cloud and sun.

It will be difficult to reach 80 degrees on Saturday. If we can bring down the clouds early, we have an opportunity. We will however be in the sweet spot most of the weekend, with quite comfortable weekend temperatures.

With the Jazz Festival returning to the St. John’s neighborhood, we’re having a lot of fun in the metro area. If you’ve decided to travel east, be prepared for the heat once you reach Pendleton. The heat will persist with highs in the lower 90s.

Have a good week-end.
