Weather forecast for Portland, Oregon for Wednesday, August 24, 2022

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Summer Roulette keeps rolling as we keep rolling through August.

Temperatures will warm up into the 90s on Wednesday. This is all due to the construction of an anticyclonic ridge in the area. A warmer air mass is in place and we are not afraid to tap into that heat. We can expect temperatures to be in the high 90s to even mid-90s for most of the Willamette Valley. We will spend about four to five hours in the 90s in the late afternoon and evening.

You might want to find a park that has more trees than there aren’t, as it will be a day full of blue skies and sunshine. You’ll probably spot a cloud or two in the morning, but they’ll dissipate quickly as temperatures climb.

An east wind is expected to blow from the Cascades in the afternoon. This will help warm our temperatures during the day. Winds near the surface will be out of the northwest at around 5 to 10 mph.

If you’re planning on taking a trip to the Oregon Coast, you might want to consider heading to the North Coast for a chance for a bit more sunshine. If you’re looking for the sun, you’ll get plenty of it in the east as temperatures soar to near triple digits outside the Dalles.

Have a nice Wednesday
