Weather forecast for La Rochelle: 10/12/21

A stationary boundary to our south leaves lingering moisture across the Panhandle today. As a result, we’ll see more clouds than sunshine and a few isolated showers heading into the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-70s.

On Saturday, a stronger front will charge in the southeast. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected Saturday afternoon into the evening. Temperatures will reach near 80°C with plenty of warm air and humidity in the area. For this reason, we will need to watch this line closely for isolated violent activity in which damaging winds are most likely to occur. The severe weather threat has diminished over the past 24 hours, but an isolated severe storm is still possible. In any severe situation, however, we cannot completely rule out a tornado. Stay up to date with the weather on Saturday. The First Alert Storm team will keep you posted on incoming storms and updated threats ahead of the weekend.

Mch drier and cooler air moves in following the front starting temperatures in the 40s to start the day on Sunday. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s. Sun returns Sunday afternoon through the middle of next week.

It won’t take long for temperatures to rebound after a cool spell on Sunday. Monday through Wednesday, temperatures will likely trend into the low and mid-70s. Rain also looks limited for most of next week.
