UK weather: Map shows 30C sunshine over Britain from France making it the perfect beach day
The BRITS are set to enjoy another scorching summer today with temperatures expected to hit 30C.
The sun is expected to come in from France throughout the day, making the beach the perfect spot this weekend.
After last week’s 40°C heat wave, temperatures have cooled across the country in recent days.
And Britons can expect a recovery today as the mercury could hit 30C.
A good start to the day will see temperatures in the high teens for most of the country.
But the warm front coming from France throughout the day will increase the heat in the southeast.
In the afternoon, those in London, Norfolk and Peterborough will bask in temperatures close to 30C.
Further north, Manchester and Newcastle can expect highs of around 21C, although they can be hit with a few showers.
It will be bright and sunny for beachgoers along the south coast, with the mercury reaching around 22C.
Wales will also be mostly clear and cool, reaching around 20C in Cardiff and Swansea.
But it won’t be all sunny skies to end the week, with a storm set to ruin the tanning plans of those from Belfast to Glasgow.
The Met Office has issued a yellow rain warning for the area, with heavy showers and thunderstorms likely to cause travel chaos and flooding.
From noon, heavy downpours or longer rainy spells could disrupt travel and even cause flooding.
