Panhandle Weather Forecast: 01/13/22
Temperatures started in the 40s this morning but dropped into the 30s as the clouds cleared to the east. The sun is back in the forecast today, with more sun than cloud. Winds will shift from north to west and temperatures will reach 60 degrees. Friday’s weather will be very similar to today’s.
Changes are afoot this weekend as a cold front approaches from the southeast. Temperatures will hit the low-to-mid 60s on Saturday before the cold front moves through northwest Florida. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected as early as Saturday afternoon, dissipating as late as mid-morning Sunday. About 0.5 to 1.5″ of rain is forecast on the Panhandle. Higher single amounts are possible.
Temperatures are expected to peak in the 50s on Sunday, though that’s likely to happen during the morning hours. Expect temperatures to drop throughout the day.
On Monday and Tuesday morning, temperatures will drop near zero. Widespread frost and inland frost are likely. High temperatures on these days will only be in the high 50s at most. A slight warming could occur on Wednesday with highs in the 60s at the expense of potential precipitation returning to the forecast.
