JR’s Wednesday Night Weather Report | Provide

Our period of midsummer temperatures is over, but a nice period of comfortable temperatures is at hand. Warmer air moved behind a cool front which supported a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures spent most of our Wednesday afternoon in the high 70s, not too far off the average which is now 74 degrees. Low temperatures early Thursday morning will likely be around the 50 degree mark.

We will see lots of cloud early Thursday. There is even a chance for a few light showers or sprinkles to start the day. The best chance of that happening will be in the southern portions of the ABC12 viewing area. Skies will clear during the afternoon as a light north to northwest breeze prevails. High temperatures across central Michigan will generally be in the lower 70s, with cooler readings near the Lake Huron shoreline.

Friday and Saturday seem pretty quiet at this point. We should manage to see at least partly sunny skies every day. Friday’s winds will be fairly brisk, blowing from the southwest to west, while Saturday will bring light and variable conditions. High temperatures will remain quite comfortable, ranging from the upper 60s to the lower 70s. Sunday will see the chance of rain return, but that shouldn’t be a washout. We’ll see next week’s temperatures on ABC12 News. -JR
