JR’s Wednesday Night Weather Report | Provide

Wednesday was another typical midsummer day in Mid-Michigan. Bright sunshine in the morning gave the temperatures a nice boost. Readings rose to the mid-80s in most areas before thunderstorms appeared in the afternoon. The showers that have developed will fade as the evening progresses. Overnight with partly cloudy skies, lows will range from the upper 50s in the north to the lower 60s in the south.

Thursday will bring another chance of showers and thunderstorms as a cool front rolls over lower Michigan. With showers developing to the north first, highs for the day will remain in the high 70s. Temperatures are expected to manage to move into the lower 80s in southern parts of the region before the rains start. Mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers will continue through Thursday evening.

Behind the front, Friday and the weekend are looking good. Any lingering clouds early Friday are expected to clear during the afternoon. Highs will be mostly in the 70s. Temperatures for the weekend will return to the lower 80s. Mostly sunny skies are expected on Saturday, while clouds will increase over the region on Sunday afternoon. On ABC12 News, we’ll let you know if this increase in cloud cover will bring a chance of rain. -JR
