Yummy weather conditions held across our region on Wednesday, giving Mid-Michiganders a chance to continue cleaning up and drying out from the storms that swept through the state on Monday. The westerly breezes were again a bit frisky, but keep in mind that a good wind helps dry things out. Winds will die and skies will clear overnight. Low temperatures early Thursday morning will be around the 50 degree mark, which is just a bit below average.
The first day of the new month will also be a dandy. Bright sunshine and a softer, gentler breeze from the southwest will help temperatures recover just fine. Afternoon highs should manage to break above 80 degrees. The average high for the first day of September is 78 degrees. Friday will be a little warmer even if the clouds increase a little. High temperatures for the day will move well into the 80s.
A cool front will fall over our sector on Saturday. It will support more clouds and a few scattered showers. Don’t cancel your plans though, we don’t envision a one day rain or heavy rain pattern. Highs for Saturday will be in the 80s as the front moves, but behind it temperatures will drop back into the 70s for Sunday and Labor Day. We’ll have the full holiday weekend forecast on ABC12 News. -JR
