JR’s Monday Night Weather Report | Provide

The return of last week’s heat wave was interrupted by thunderstorms on Saturday evening and persistent showers on Sunday. As a result, a refreshing westerly breeze greeted the Mid-Michiganders on Monday. Temperatures Monday morning in the 50s, warming into the comfort zone for the afternoon. Highs for the day were mostly in the 70s, which is a skosh below average. Early Tuesday morning lows will dip back into the 50s.

Tuesday is shaping up to be a spectacular weather day in the ABC12 viewing area. While temperatures will start the day a little below ‘normal’, good sunshine will bring them back to where they should be for the afternoon. Light westerly breezes in the morning will return to the southwest for the afternoon. It will also give the temperatures a little boost. Highs for the day will range from the upper 70s to the lower 80s.

The temperatures on Wednesday will be in the same range, but our weather conditions will be a little different. Bright sunshine on Wednesday morning will give way to more cloud cover in the early afternoon. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible later in the day. Once here we will continue to have at least a chance of showers for Wednesday night and Thursday as well. On ABC12 News, we’ll tell you if the rain will be heavy and see how the weekend goes. -JR
