JR’s Monday Night Weather Report | Provide

A mid-summer frame held across mid-Michigan on Monday. Temperatures started the day in the mid-60s and hit the 80s during the afternoon – even when a light northwesterly breeze passed through the area. Early Tuesday morning temperatures will range from the 60s to around 70s as the winds shift back to the west-southwest. Most of us will stay dry, but the thumb and northern parts of the region may see some showers.

Our temperatures and humidity levels will be a bit higher mid-week. High temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday will hover around the 90 degree mark with a bit more humidity in the air. Most of us will stay dry on Tuesday, but again the thumb and northern portions of the ABC12 viewing area may see a few random showers or thunderstorms. Occasional showers will be possible for all of us on Tuesday evening.

As a cool front moves through lower Michigan early Wednesday morning, a few more showers and thunderstorms will be possible. The timing of the front’s passage will make it difficult for strong storms to form, but we’ll keep an eye on that. Behind the front, the winds will shift to the northwest for Thursday. Temperatures won’t recede much, but humidity levels should drop a bit. We’ll be tracking a few more chances of rain for you on ABC12 News. -JR
