A few clouds and smoke again clouded the sun over mid-Michigan Friday. Even so, it wasn’t a bad day at all as high temperatures hovered around the 80 degree mark on light southwest breezes. Partly cloudy skies and light southerly winds will continue overnight. Early Saturday morning temperatures will range from the upper 50s to the low 60s. Our “normal” low temperature is now just 50 degrees.
Saturday will be another beautiful late summer day in the ABC12 viewing area. We will have partly sunny skies and light southwesterly winds. Highs for the day are expected to hit the 80s again. We will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night and Sunday, but don’t cancel your plans. Sunday won’t be a wash, and we should see highs around 80 degrees.
Temperatures will continue to hover at above average levels until the middle of next week. The best chance of rain next week will come early Monday morning, and again Wednesday. Wednesday’s activity will be associated with a cool front so some rumbling thunder will be possible. On ABC12 News, we’ll let you know what happens to our temperatures after the front passes. -JR
