JR’s Friday Night Weather Report | Provide

Friday was another one-day beauty all over Mid-Michigan. Bright sunshine combined with a light southerly breeze to push temperatures to above average levels for the afternoon. Highest readings hit the 80s across most of the ABC12 viewing area. Skies will become partly cloudy overnight as early Saturday morning lows range from the 50s northwest of the bay to the 60s for most of us.

The best chance of seeing glorious sunshine on Saturday will come early in the day. In general, the trend will be for increased clouds throughout the day. By the end of the day, we will be lucky enough to see some sporadic showers. The winds on Saturday will be from the south, so we will have another very hot day. Highest readings are expected to reach lows, into the mid 80s, before showers develop. We will also see our humidity levels increase a bit.

More clouds and more showers are a good bet for Sunday. High temperatures will recede into the 70s on a south to southeast breeze. The weather system responsible for the showers will not be in a hurry to leave our region once it is installed. As a result we will have at least a chance of showers Sunday through Monday, with some even more lingering into Tuesday. On ABC12 News, we’ll let you know what the showers will do to our temperatures. -JR
