JR’s Friday Night Weather Report | Provide

All in all, our Friday was a very good day in Mid-Michigan. A few lingering clouds in the morning gave way to good sunshine for the afternoon. Afternoon highs ranged from the lakeshore 70s to mid 80s with light winds off Lake Huron. The humidity was still a bit high, but again, it wasn’t a bad day at all. Overnight low temperatures will range from the 60s in most areas to around 70, with partly cloudy skies.

The heat will be there on Saturday. Mostly to partly sunny skies will combine with light south-southwesterly winds to push temperatures up quickly. Highs for the day will hover around the 90 degree mark, with Heat Index readings moving into the mid 90s. With a growing chance of a few thunderstorms for Sunday, the additional clouds will bring our highs back into the 80s , to nearly 90. The temperature/humidity combination, however, will remain sticky.

Rain and thunderstorms seem like a very good bet to start the work week. Monday’s highs will retreat into the 70s with mostly cloudy skies expected. At this time, it looks like the rain will stop on Monday evening. This should give us some sunshine for Tuesday. In fact, much of the rest of next week looks relatively dry and bright. On ABC12 News, we’ll let you know how our temperatures are changing. -JR
