It’s poncho season! Weekend weather forecast for North Texas is wet

A volatile weather pattern will continue to bring chances of rain to North Texas over the next few days, so keep the umbrella close.

Showers and occasional thunderstorms remain in the forecast through Labor Day weekend. That’s not to say it’ll be a weekend washout, because it won’t. It will be hot and humid with a daily chance of rain, but storm coverage from Friday to Monday will be rather patchy, meaning not everyone will get wet every day.

Given the high humidity, any storm that comes along could bring heavy rain and possibly even isolated flooding. Also watch out for lightning that may accompany the rain.

High temperatures will remain below normal in the 80s, but the humidity will be quite high, making it rather uncomfortable.
