Indianapolis 4th of July Weather Forecast

Sunny skies for Sunday

A nearby frontal border produced a few spotty showers over our southernmost counties early in the morning. The front will dip to the south and move away from the area. Many are already seeing full sun this Sunday morning with an anticyclone located over the Great Lakes.

Skies will remain mostly clear today and tonight, which is ideal for those celebrating the holidays outdoors today. Temperatures will tend to warm up and Indianapolis will have another 90° hit this afternoon! With dew points in the 50s, humidity levels will remain low.

Warm up for the holidays

An expanse of 90° heat will set in this week. Highs will reach the lower 90s by tomorrow afternoon. There will be a limited risk of thunderstorms during peak heating in the late afternoon. The most favorable storm chance arrives after midnight through Tuesday morning.

Many chances of storm this week

There will be plenty of showers and thunderstorms this week! There is already a slight chance of severe weather over the southern half of the state for Tuesday. Thunderstorm activity will intensify on Tuesday, with the main threats being damaging winds, lightning and large hail.
