a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is posted for high ground…. for the freezing rain to pile up…. could be a little sleet, too…. cool weather west of I-87…. against Western New England…. time of rain/freezing rain to start – just before/after midnight….

The high pressure is trying to channel cooler air on a northeasterly path…. as the humidity continues to move in from the southwest…. 2 severe weather areas we are keeping an eye on…. as well as a BREATH of cold air…. for the beginning of next week….

Futurecast shows incoming precipitation…. late tonight – into the night…. freezing rain is all about above 1000ft – light rain/rain showers for the rest of us…. another flurry of rain late in the day – Thursday evening…. the highs will be cold and it will be wet….

The Futurecast shows mostly cloudy skies for Friday…. there could be a rain shower…. predicted high temperatures will range from the lower 40s to the lower 50s….

7 and 10 day forecasts

There’s no doubt about it – it’s not a very good forecast for spring – temperatures will be essentially below normal.

Watch out for rain tonight-pockets of freezing rain.

A break Thursday afternoon, then more rain Thursday evening.

Friday looks calm…then scattered rain/snow showers Saturday. The BREATH of cold air arrives on Sunday and will be with us until Tuesday. 15-20 degrees below normal.
