Electric Picnic 2022: schedule, weather, map, when, where

The Emerald Isle’s “most diverse end-of-summer party” is about to begin.

Electric Picnic is back at Stradbally Hall and there will be a number of world famous acts performing throughout the weekend.

Arctic Monkeys, fresh from Reading and Leeds Festival and the debut of their first new single since 2018, will headline one of the days.

The MCU’s latest star, Megan Thee Stallion, will also perform at Electric Picnic.

If you’re going to the event or wondering if you can still get tickets, there’s a lot of key information you need to know.

When is the electric picnic?

The festival will start today (September 2) and will last all weekend.

The last day of Electric Picnic is Sunday September 4th.

This is the first time the festival has been held since 2019

Where is the electric picnic?

The festival has been held at Stradbally Hall in Stradbally, County Laois since its inception in 2004.

The full address is: Stradbally Hall, Stradbally, Co. Laois Ireland.

County Laois is part of the Eastern and Midland region and the province of Leinster.

It has been described by some as “Irish Glastonbury”.

Can you get tickets and how much do they cost?

The Electric Picnic website says the festival is sold out for 2022.

So, unfortunately, if you don’t have a ticket yet, you’re out of luck this year.

What’s the weather forecast for Electric Picnic?

Met Eireann have released a weather forecast for the festival in Stradbally and unfortunately it’s not looking good.

Friday – cloudy changing to rain – high 20C, low 11

What travel advice has been issued for the festival?

Festival-goers are encouraged to plan ahead for their trip to Electric Picnic this year.

The festival’s official account tweeted: “Just a gentle reminder to plan your trip to Stradbally in advance, don’t rush and travel safe.

“The campsites open at 9 am, so we advise you to give yourself plenty of time to settle in. We can’t wait to end the summer with you all in style!”
