CLEVELAND (WJW) – Look for temperatures in the 60s tonight with mostly clear skies and light winds. Maybe long sleeves if you go out, but other than that it will be gorgeous.

At night it won’t be as cool, it will actually be seasonal, in the lower 50s with partly cloudy skies.

Why have the last two weeks been so cool? The answer lies in the pattern in the northern Pacific Ocean. Persistent low pressure between the Aleutian Islands and the Gulf of Alaska kept the western United States warm and the eastern United States cooler. Coolest two-week period in Northern Ohio (9/22-10/3) since 2012!

Tomorrow the best of the next 8 days, with seasonal highs near and above 70. This is quickly counteracted by a strong cold front which drops the numbers nearly 20 degrees by Friday!

The best chance of scattered showers will be Thursday evening through Friday mid-afternoon. Followed by a few lake effect rain showers Friday night mostly in our snowbelt communities.
