Radar Loop Stormtracker NE 9:40 PM Large patch of light snow ahead of a cold front moving east. Should arrive around midnight for Albany.,……obviously a bit earlier in the west. Most areas overlie up to an inch in the Hudson Valley, up to 2″ east and west of the valley.
Surface analysis shows an approaching system from the north and west…. the system will produce snow showers / light snow bursts…. then usher in another breath of cold air to end the work week….
Look for flurries/light snow breakouts later tonight…. coating at 1″ locally…. more in the high ground…. partly sunny, windy, colder for Thursday….
highs ranging from the mid and upper teens in the northwest Adirondacks to the upper 20s and lower 30s of Albany points in the south….
Partly sunny and cool for Friday…. region-wide highs will be in the 20s…. in the lower 30s south of Albany….
